STEEL SPORTS POSITION SPECIFIC SOCCER CAMPS

These camps are geared towards both Steel United and non-Steel United players. Both weeks are open for players interested in attacking play & players interested in goalkeeping. Be sure to register for the correct session that is geared towards your position interest.

Week 1: June 24-27 (9am-12pm)
-Attacking & Goalscoring Option
-Goalkeeping Option

Week 2: July 29-August 1 (6-8pm)
-Goalscoring & Finishing Option
-Goalkeeping Option

- ATTACKING PLAY & GOALSCORING will focus on dribbling at defenders, attacking runs to get behind the opposition. We will work on different situations in the final third. 2v2s, 3v3s and Overloads. We will also work on the techniques of shooting the ball and different kinds of shots. Taking shots on the run, on the turn, from different angles with both feet.

- GOALSCORING & FINISHING will focus on getting into positions to score goals and actually scoring goals. We will work on the technique of shooting the ball. We will work on finding space in good areas to get opportunities to score. This camp will incorporate the Goalkeepers as well. The coaches will work on finishing from a distance, up close and out wide. We will also work on Breakaways and Overloads – how to take advantage of numbers up against the other team.

- GOALKEEPING is designed to improve the all-around play of the Goalkeeper. Our Goalkeeping coach will work on the fundamentals of goalkeeping. The camp will work on distribution of a keeper with their hands and feet.
